NIKKKORI PEAR EVENT
In collaboration with The National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative
Associations (Tochigi), Jaya Grocer and Aeon Big Malaysia. We as Malaysia's leading
fruits and vegetables importer and exporter - were successful once again to
exposed local market to the high - quality, carefully - tended and innovative agricultural
produce that Japan has to offer – The Nikkori Pear.
This mini roadshow (sampling activities) was held since September
2017 to February 2018 on several outlets between them are Jaya Grocer
- The Garden, Jaya Grocer - Intermark, JC - Ipoh Parade, Aeon Bandar Utama, Aeon
Mid Valley, De Market, and other outlets. We glad that all thing going as
planned and the local really love the taste of Nikkori Pear.
The pear was
created when farmers successfully
cross-cultivated a Niitaka and Hosui pear, resulting in a golden, well-rounded fruit containing
juicy and sweet flesh.
According to The National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative
Associations (Tochigi), the pear’s name was derived from the
town of Nikko, which means sunlight. Nikkori Pear
can only be harvested in mid-October and stored for a long period of time until
February, thus the specialty and superiority of this unique fruit.
It’s
a pleasure to bring the locals the refreshing taste of Japanese Pear, thanks to
all that involved in this successful mini roadshow.
You still
can get these sweet Nikkori pears in selective store, while it lasts!
